Under the 2005 Bankruptcy Code you are required to obtain a Credit Counseling Certificate before (pre-bankruptcy) you file bankruptcy and before (post-bankruptcy) you receive a discharge.

You may obtain your credit counseling at your local credit counseling center or within 2 hours online if you have access to a computer and knowledge of downloading PDF documents:
